Academics

World Academy dedicates one hour Monday through Thursday for structured homework. Staff members assist students and review lesson concepts as needed during this time. If students do not have homework on any given day, they are provided with quiet activities to complete, books to read, and/or a separate area to interact. If students are unable to complete homework during the structured hour, they are able to continue on their own in a designated space.

World Academy is located on the school site, enabling our staff to work closely with teachers to provide the most accurate homework support. We encourage and expect students to work quietly and do their best during homework time. There are incentives put into place at both World Academy sites to promote excellent homework behavior.

World Academy Standards

In order to provide an excellent educational climate, we ask that students respect classmates and instructors at all times, and always do their best with any given activity. We believe in a well-organized, structured environment for the World Academy Program, driven by positive reinforcement and high expectations. If a child does not maintain good conduct, we will work with him/her to make better choices in the future. If the problem continues, the parent will be notified. It is our belief that if children know what is expected of them, they will strive to meet that expectation. We will follow this code of conduct at all times, and we hope that you support us at home as well.
